N2  - As a lifelong student of management, in general, and of Indian Management, in particular, it is a matter of satisfaction to see the growing interest in drawing lessons from Indian Philosophy, scriptures, epics and other traditions for modern management. I have observed more than once elsewhere for example at the first Darahana Conference in New Delhi in 1989, at a public lecture at the Indian International Center, New Delhi, in july 1994 and in a television address to the Open university that the distinctive strength core competency or competitive advantage the Indian genius is to explore the inner world of the self while the western approach has been strong in exploring the external world of matter and energy
