Summary: This year's Survey assumes enormous significance in the light of the recent Copenhagen Meet on Climate Change. Thus the editorial fare will deal with the wetlands of India, energy-efficient technologies, the Nilgiris Biosphere and the protection of the ecosystem. Other issues which add value to the editorial fare are man-animal conflict in the northern Sahyadris, the mounting electronic waste of mobile phones and an overview of India's position on Climate change.
