Public Administration in India has been cultivated, nursed and polished over the years. It's mature now. Originally, Indian Public Administration is based on British system. In fact, it was the Englishmen only, who introduced developed and established modern administration in this country. Although, Mughal Administration was perfect as per contemporary standards and initially; East India Company laid the foundation of its administrative setup on the remainders of Mughal system, yet, they made necessary alterations and renovations, in accordance with the changing trends and, of course, their own strategies of governance. After Independence, Indian Public Administration was moulded by new custodian, according to indigenous requirement and national standards.
