Services trade and foreign direct investment (FDI) are the fastest growing components of the global economy.International services transactions, however, continue to be impeded by policy barriers, especially to FDI and the movement of service-providing individuals. The contribution of this book is to show that India in particular and, by example, other developing countries can benefit significantly from the greater economic efficiency and inducement to growth that may result from the liberalization and elimination of the domestic and international services barriers that they face.
